With the conclusion of Kage Kara Mamoru! this week, we will be starting Lucky Star next week.
With last night’s departure of Irresponsible Captain Tylor, a gap has appeared in our schedule. This will be filled by Chrome Shelled Regios a shounen series set in a post-apocalyptic future.
After a one week delay due to inclement weather, the Basingstoke Anime Society has returned to entertain once more.
Tuesday 5 January 2010
The met believes that the weather tonight is going to turn really horrible, enough to cause major disruption. Rather than risk that happening to all of us, especially those coming a long distance, we’ve decided to cancel tonight’s anime society.
We hope to see you all next week. You can discuss this on our forum.
With another year over (I never expected us the society to last this long) it’s time to look to the future. This coming Tuesday sees us return to our weekly showings and with two new series starting there’s rarely been a better time to join us.
Remember entry is just £1.50 and your first week is free.
I’ve been informed that Christmas Day this year will fall on the 25th of December. As a result there will be no anime society on the 22nd or 29th. We will return on January 5th 2010.
Tonight however we reached the end of RideBack and the point in Gintama where we planned to stop. When we return in the new year they will be replaced by Tales of the Abyss and Kage Kara Mamarou.
This week saw the final episodes of Eden of the East. But fear not for we shall return stronger for its passing with the start of RideBack next week.
Tonight saw the end of Rocket Girls, next week we will be staying in outer space with the start of Irresponsible Captain Tylor
This week we finally finished off Rental Magica. Next week we will open with Eden of the East.
Also this will be our final meeting at the Castle, due to a change of ownership. From October 6th we will be moving to the White Hart, Odiham Road. The “Where” tab will be updated to show the new venue. If you’ve been thinking of joining us but haven’t gotten around to it yet, the welcome will be just as warm in either location.
This week we finished the second series of Genshiken and will be replacing it with Rocket Girls.
