Greg (the landlord) says that it should be okay to use the IBM car park: from Basing View turn into the little road the pub is on, and go to the end.

Well hopefully, around the Christmas time, we "should" have the car park opposite the pub open for the christmas perid. So that'll solve that problem for all of 2 months

The anvil car park charges £1 for 6-11pm (as does festival place, but it's marginally further to walk).

Woah, don't park in Festival Place mate, they charge like whores. If you go in the front way round the corner from lloyds, carry on up the hill and turn right where the orange parking sign is and park in Wote Street. If you get there after 6, it's 70p for an hour and parking charges only go to 7pm. Then it's just an easy walk through Festival Place, under various underpasses and youre at the pub.

As for the station car park, I'd guess it was exensive as parking there is usually an all day or nothing affair. I'm guessing it'd be quite full to, with Basingstoke being a large-ish station.

Anyone else got any alternatives?

I don't drive myself, but how busy/expensive is the station overflow car-park?

Actually I work in North Camp, but it's close enough. I live in Aldershit.

I've only been to one screening, but I parked in Festival Place. That was a fair walk as well... I was planning to look for somewhere closer to the pub when I got the chance, I just haven't got round to it yet.

Where do you work then Sean? I cant put a name to a face unfortunately. More importantly, where do you park? It's a trek and a half from the Wote Street car park.

Won't be there this coming week (Northampton is some distance away), but the following week I'd appreciate something edible.
