How about something like Great Teacher Onizuka? It's perverted on one level, but really quite deep and serious on another level. And really quite uplifting.

I don't know about showing Tenchi Muyo, but I certainly wouldn't mind borrowing it - it's one of those classics that everyone's supposed to have seen. We have all of Azumanga already.

No, You're Under Arrest doesn't need anything else. It can stand alone as the episodes start from the beginning when the 2 girls get together

I have the full series of Tenchi Muyo(comedy harem) and the first five episodes of
Azumanga Daioh (school comedy) on DVD.
If I bring both over both next week and Azumanga is popular then I will find the other series.
Failing that bring on Puni Puni Poemi!

See you all next Week.

It's a lot easier to show stuff that's already ripped, certainly. Ripping is something we're capable of if we have the time... but we don't. It can be very time-consuming to get it right, although thankfully I'm not as perfectionist as some. It's especially difficult on older or more analogue material where the transfer to DVD has included noise, rainbowing, jitter - and as a result of the bandwidth lost coping with all of those, artefacting. It's also sometimes harder on UK releases than US ones, because they re-interpret the US version and end up with messier compression and interlacing. For example, FMP?Fumoffu looks great on a TV, but if you look at it frame by frame it's horrible.

Do the OVAs of You're Under Arrest depend on the series at all? One reason we'd hesitate before showing Samurai X is because it's connected to the Kenshin story, which people haven't seen.

Never going to show Yaoi? that sucks...

How about You're Under Arrest! OVAs. I can bring that along, but I'm guessing from what I've spoken to Marcus about, you'd prefer stuff ripped and on the computer ready to show
